I love Christmas, even though I am going crazy trying to make sure the gifts are all perfect and wrapped like Martha would do it, the house is spotless, the tree wonderfull and everyone is happy, happy, happy. But, no matter how I try everything is not perfect. I think about two friends who have lost loved ones just this past week, about the children that Ruby and I worry about ( what are mothers for anyway/ ), about the friends who have had job losses, about owning two houses when the market is in the pits and don't even get me started on the state of our country and the world right now! We just have to let go of the things we cannot change and look at all the things that we should be thankful for. My family is healthy, my new house is great, there is snow on the ground, I love my job (best customers in the world), I have yarn to knit and fiber to spin and the hands to do it with. My life and those of everyone around me will never be perfect. There will always be worry and tears, but these things are part of all of us. Let us remember why we celebrate this time of the year. Not only the religious reasons but also looking forward to the light in the darkest part of the year with faith that it will come. So give love to everyone around you and embrace the love they give you, give more than you receive, cherish every moment and every one in your life and your Christmas will surely be merry . To quote a very wise man.. Happy Christmas to all and to all a good night! |
Just a couple of anouncements before I close.January 25,26, and 27, Chris Bylsma will be here to do workshops for us. Friday night will be a finishing class, Saturday Stashology and Sunday edgings.
